Below is the Pullman railcar "Suburb" used by President Warren G. Harding for trip out West. He passed away on the trip and his casket was returned to Washington DC using this car. Prior to this trip it had been used on occasion by President Woodrow Wilson as well.

Dalton Depot Restaurant
The Dalton Depot was built in 1852 for the Western and Atlantic Railroad. It now houses a restaurant.

Freight Depot
The Dalton Freight Depot was built in 1914 for the Southern Railway. It now houses the local Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Downtown Development Authority.
General Joseph E. Johnston
General Johnston was a famous Southern Civil War General. After the war he served as the Commisioner of Railroads under President Grover Cleveland.
